From 1 January 2025, a total of 140 new specified road sections will be created on the toll road and motorway network. For 64 specified road sections, there will be an adjustment, a typical example being the moving of signs designating the entry into a municipality or the creation of a new junction. As many as 46 specified road sections will be cancelled. Further operational adjustments to the specified road sections are intended to increase the efficiency of toll collection and optimise the specified road sections.

Key changes include the addition of motorway sections on the Bratislava city crossing and bypass to the list of the specified toll road sections, the renumbering of the road II/572 and II/510 near Bratislava and taking into account changes on 2nd category roads near the Slovak border with Ukraine.

After all the adjustments, the number of specified road sections will increase by 94 and reach the total of 2,105 from 1 January. The length of the specified road sections will increase only slightly from 8,267.552 to 8,272.501 kilometres starting from 1 January 2025.
